Intermission

‘Intermission’ at College of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas, NV (July 2026)

Materials: Paper, Fabric, Wedding Arch, Inflatables, and Hula Hoops

With vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and dynamic forms, "Intermission" is a large-scale installation that fosters a tangible connection between viewers and their surroundings. Through a large-scale installation crafted from hand-cut sheets of paper and textured fabric, I intend to create a whimsical dreaming place within the gallery space.

By transforming physical surfaces into whimsical environments through colorful patterns, textures, and ornamentation, I seek to evoke a sense of wonder and curiosity. Drawing inspiration from everyday objects such as wallpaper, decorative china, and playgrounds, the installation offers a departure from the digital saturation of modern life, inviting viewers to engage with tactile sensations and visual stimuli.
